1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage keys that applications use to remember preferences on your device.
CImple uses cookies primarily to keep you signed in and to protect account sessions. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party marketing/analytics cookies in the Service.
2. How we use cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies so the Service can authenticate you after login, maintain your session securely, and operate behind our application firewall and hosting platform.
Because these cookies are required to provide the signed-in Service you request, we do not currently present a separate cookie consent banner. If we introduce non-essential cookies in future, we will update this Policy and provide choices where required by law.
3. Cookie inventory
The following categories are used on the Service. Exact cookie names can vary slightly by environment (for example a project-specific prefix on authentication cookies):
- Authentication / session cookies — set by our authentication provider (Supabase Auth via the CImple application) to establish and refresh your signed-in session. These are strictly necessary. Duration follows the provider’s session and refresh rules.
- Hosting / platform cookies — may be set by our application host (for example Vercel) as part of delivering and securing the website. These are operational/strictly necessary for hosting.
4. Local storage and similar technologies
The Service may store limited UI preferences in your browser’s local storage (for example table/layout preferences or sidebar state). These are stored on your device and are not HTTP cookies. Clearing site data in your browser removes them. Watchlist selections are stored on our servers with your account (not only in local storage) so they sync across devices.
5. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block authentication cookies, you will not be able to remain signed in to the Service.
